Quality Inspector
Leuven – Belgium
 
We are looking for a full-time Quality Inspector to extend our quality team at Metris Headquarters (Leuven), reporting to our Quality Manager and being part of the Operations team.

Responsabilities for the Quality Inspector include:

 - Daily inspection, mechanical and electrical, of incoming parts, according to existing quality procedures
 - Follow-up of supplier complaints:
 
                                    - determine and register problems (start up of complaint file)
                                    - contact suppliers and determine corrective actions, together with Quality Manager
                                    - follow-up of quality measures
                                    - internal communication (to production team)
 
 - Making of incoming quality control procedures for new components
 - Maintenance of incoming quality control procedures in order to continuously  improve the effectiveness and utility  of inspection plans.
 - interaction with process engineering
- if relevant, give feed-back to process engineers to reduce quality complaints via process and product improvements.
 
 
Qualifications for the position of Quality Inspector:
 
- Technical education (3 yrs) – A2 or A1 (electronics/mechanics)
-  sense for detail, to be methodical and willing to work within a framework of procedures
- experience with production processes and quality procedures is a must
 - good communication skills (writing/speaking)
 - Languages Dutch and English
